Embrace change
on your journey to transformation
The journey can be unpredictable, and I want to create a personal and safe space to offer relief that comes from awareness, clarity, and the opportunity to embrace change leading to transformation.

Meet Dennis Goldenson
I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT #146702). I focus extensively on supporting the needs of young adults, couples, and families. My approach is to develop a strong rapport with my clients to establish a meaningful therapeutic relationship. I understand the challenges facing young adults in their transitional phase of life and offer therapy that can help them embrace change with confidence.
In addition to my professional clinical experience, I have three children who are either transitioning into college, are in college, or have just graduated, so I really get it! I understand the importance of offering active listening, empathy, validation, and fostering a safe environment for social-emotional development. It's not easy to experience hidden struggles, but I honestly believe that through self-determination the work you do matters and can lead to positive change.

Young Adult Therapy
Young adults are going through a key phase of development and transition, developing their identity, building independence, learning effective communication, and building relationships.
My approach is to create a confidential space to engage young adults, listen to their needs, process emotions, and offer coping techniques and tools to help them feel more self-confident in their own abilities, skills, and self-worth.
Couples can struggle in developing healthy relationships because of differences and conflicts between the partners. The differences can be over a range of issues such as finances, intimacy, infidelity, trust, stress, phone/social media usage, household roles, extended family issues, and raising children to name just a few.
Part of the approach in couples therapy is to help them improve respect, communication, honesty, trust, boundaries, and strengthening their relationship.
Family Therapy
Families can be complicated as well as comforting, and they can consist of an extended group of non-nuclear family members. The shifts in family categories has direct implications on the diverse structure of families and how they communicate, share emotions, interact, and support one another.
My approach to family therapy is to understand family structures, roles, and identify opportunities to develop healthier relationships. Family therapy can help enhance relationships and foster insight on emotional attunement, communication, and engagement in efforts to reduce conflict, increase resolution, and form a cohesive unit.
